This course provides the learner with information for performing an exercise assessment on patients with any diagnosis to assess for exercise tolerance impairments in order to develop appropriate exercise prescriptions. Exercise testing protocols, as well as interpretation of exercise testing, are discussed, as well as the components of an exercise prescription. Factors to consider to assist in improving exercise compliance, as well as individualizing exercise prescriptions for complex patients, are presented. Cases of complex patients are discussed as well.
