Dr. Anderson has been a physical therapist for over 30 years. She has practiced primarily in outpatient orthopedic settings for most of her career and has been in academic institutions for more than 12 years, teaching jurisprudence and ethics courses for physical therapy practice in Georgia for more than nine years.
Examples of Dr. Anderson's accomplishments include:

- Serves on the Ethics Committee of the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia.
- Has published and presented both nationally and internationally on such topics as service-learning and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
