Dr. Heldman works as a manual physical therapist at Emory Healthcare, specializing in spinal rehabilitation, connective tissue disorders and pain. He has worked his way from serving as a head athletic trainer in the collegiate ranks to working for three years as an athletic trainer with the Philadelphia Phillies, after which he earned his MPT from Nova Southeastern University and his doctorate in manual physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine. Dr. Heldman has also completed post-doctoral work in cranio-facial dysfunction, fascial manipulation and trigger point dry needling.
Examples of Dr. Heldman's accomplishments include:
- Certified in athletic training and manual therapy, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT).
- Credentialed clinical instructor by the APTA and a certified examiner by the National Athletic Trainer’s Association.
- Has taught as an adjunct clinical professor in the Master's of Sports Medicine Program at Georgia State University.
