Lorimer Moseley PT, Ph.D., FACP


Dr. Moseley is at the leading edge internationally in pain theory, research and practice. He has delivered keynote lectures at over 60 major international conferences in 30 countries, and public lectures to over 25,000 people across Australia, North America and Europe. Dr. Moseley has published more than 250 papers, five books and numerous book chapters on pain and rehabilitation. Treatments he developed are now cited in clinical guidelines internationally, and his contributions to the field have been recognized with honors on every continent; his public education articles, YouTube and TEDx talks have been viewed more than two million times.

Examples of Dr. Moseley's accomplishments include:

  • Appointed University of South Australia's Inaugural Chair in Physiotherapy, and Professor of Clinical Neurosciences, in 2011.
  • Only physical therapist to be appointed Nuffield Medical Research Fellow at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom (Department of Physiology, Anatomy & Genetics and the Oxford Centre for fMRI of the Brain).
  • Chair, PainAdelaide Stakeholders' Consortium, which runs such outreach activities as the Ride for Pain and PainAdelaide Scientific meeting.
  • Chief Editor of BodyinMind.org, which pushes cutting clinical pain science research to over 45,000 unique visitors from over 100 countries every month.
  • Leads Pain Revolution, a pain awareness, education and outreach project.
  • Associate Editor for PAIN, Journal of Pain, European Journal of Pain and British Journal of Sports Medicine.
